Price Range: $
Special Features: Late Night Dining, Lunch Spot, People Watching, Local Favorite
In Short
Rice noodles, wet and dry, are the staple of this affordable, trendy spot with its ultra-bright, ultra-orange retro look and young clientele. Classic pho soup is traditionally served with beef, or in a lighter chicken broth, garnished with bean sprouts, basil and hot peppers. The menu also includes fried egg rolls and steamed, noodle-packed spring rolls, fresh ginger tea and numerous vegetarian options. When the room is full, it can get very noisy.
Know Before You Go

Credit cards aren't accepted, but $15 cash should be sufficient to cover food and a drink.

Look Good

Don't be confused by the lack of a sign. Just look for the long room illuminated with a line of globe lamps.

Parking

The lot can get a little frantic, so savvy diners look for street parking along Sunset.

What to Drink

There's no hard liquor--only beer and sake.

Greasy and gross

With so many great pho places to chose from why would anyone want to go here? The pho is incredibly greasy and the few times I've given it a try I've given them way too much money while getting a stomach ache in return. No, thanks.

Yummy, yummy pho

Pho is easy to miss. It's located in a strip mall and difficult to see a sign (if it even has one... I can't recall). I really love the food and the ambiance here. It's a narrow restaurant with an exposed kitchen taking up half the space, so there's not a lot of seating. However, I've never had to wait that long to get a spot. The place is mostly filled with east LA hipsters. The pho is really fresh and tasty. As a vegetarian, I haven't had the meat here, but I really like the way they cook their tofu. It has a lot of texture, which I like. And the Thai iced teas.... yum. I wish I was drinking one right now. The exposed kitchen area is fun too because you get to see what's being made.
Also, the bathrooms are lite entirely in green, so if you enjoy the art of Dan Flavin, you'll love these bathrooms!

good pho in silver lake/los feliz

hard to find this place since there's no sign on the outside, but you can tell you got it right by the number of people waiting outside. interesting interior...just a long line of seats straight back against the wall with cool globe lights from the ceiling. very minimal. decent pho, i've had better, but you have to drive to m.park or alhambra for that. the spring rolls i got were good and i was able to order them without shrimp aka not pre-made.
