The Scene
Behind a corrugated-steel entrance lies a room where little has changed since the 1950s. Bobby Darin is on the jukebox, affable guys are slinging drinks at the sleek, dark bar while amorous couples look hep in turquoise booths. The interior is so comfortable, the staff so welcoming and the drinks so cheap that one can't help but wondering if a time travel experiment has taken place. Even the bathrooms are spotless works of interior design. Modern realities become apparent out on the long patio, though, which caters to smokers.
The Draw
The place has a rep for studio execs, but the regulars are a crop of gregarious, skilled professionals. Come after work and throw back a bottle of American beer. On Saturday nights, when the joint jumps, wow the crowd with a flaming beverage. Small and swank, the Blue Room is a true gem.
