The Scene
Behind a corrugated-steel entrance lies a room where little has changed since the 1950s. Bobby Darin is on the jukebox, affable guys are slinging drinks at the sleek, dark bar while amorous couples look hep in turquoise booths. The interior is so comfortable, the staff so welcoming and the drinks so cheap that one can't help but wondering if a time travel experiment has taken place. Even the bathrooms are spotless works of interior design. Modern realities become apparent out on the long patio, though, which caters to smokers.

The Draw
The place has a rep for studio execs, but the regulars are a crop of gregarious, skilled professionals. Come after work and throw back a bottle of American beer. On Saturday nights, when the joint jumps, wow the crowd with a flaming beverage. Small and swank, the Blue Room is a true gem.
Where to Sit

Smokers rule the long patio. Couples should settle into the canoodling-perfect booths.

Local Bar & great Martinis!

As for Lennard and have him make you a Very Dirty Martini.
Great local bar and amazing music. The jukebox is amazing and the bartenders have great taste in music.

A small, divish bar in the Burbank, which redefines “suburb.” It’s a good local watering hole type place, but there’s certainly no need to seek it out. The drinks are fine, prices are fine, and it can get a little lively on weekend night, but that could describe neighborhood haunts in, well, any neighborhood.

CASH ONLY!! Dive Bar With the Heart of a Hipster Joint...

Leave the credit cards at home – the Blue Room is an old-school cash only joint.

The Blue Room is a hipster hang-out disguised as a dive bar – the waitress has worked there since before you were a gleam in your father’s eye, the usually revered California no-smoking policies are studiously ignored, but underneath it all lies an air of displaced Hollywood vanity.

Expect to see girls dressed up waaaaay too much for a typical dive bar. The atmosphere can still be fun, don’t get me wrong, but it’s definitely NOT what you’re looking for if you want a super chill night out at a place where no one gives you the once-over.

Drinks are good and not badly priced, but definitely come with a stock of cash in your pocket…it’s never fun to run out of money at a cash-only bar!
