In Short
The lines can be long, and filled with attitude--OBEC is a place to be seen, and few fashion-concious and trendy clubbers like to be seen standing outside. Once inside, the venue offers a sensational spectrum of DJs and dance options, from an array of house music to R&B, hip-hop, rock and retro. It's five rooms under one roof, from the main dance floor upstairs, to the intimate, posh confines of the downstairs Vault and Ultra Lounge.
Know Before You Go

Arrive early and dine at On Broadway's Zen Cafe. In addition to sushi, they serve French- and Asian-influenced haute cuisine. Reservations are recommended. Admission to the nightclub is included with a $20/person dinner tab.

The Extras

OBEC is available for private parties and events, including weddings.

A trendy multiroom club that has good house music, as well as hip-hop, 70's/80's, and indie dance/electro

On Broadway is a large multilevel posh club that has something for everyone. It has four rooms spinning house, hip-hop, 70's/80's, and indie dance/electro. It was built in what used to house the Home Federal bank.

Millions of dollars were poured into the club and when it opened, it was San Diego's premier clubbing hot spot. Since then other high-end clubs have opened in San Diego and On Broadway has lost it's trendiness to a degree, but still remains one of San Diego's nightlife hot spots.

The main room/main event is usually house music and 4thDJ on Fridays and Event Vibe on Saturdays promote and manage the DJs.

Hi-Fi Fridays by 4thDJ bring in many excellent famous house DJs. I love how they bring in all genres of house: tech, minimal, deep, progressive, and electro. I also love their relaxed dress code.

Saturdays by Eventvibe bring more of the popular progressive or electro house DJs that you would hear at somewhere like Club Spin. They don't bring in good DJs that aren't super popular like 4thDJ does, so I don't go for Saturdays often; although sometimes I do.

On Broadway is home to the Zen Cafe, an upscale Asian restaurant that closes at 1am. If you dine at the Cafe, it allows you to enter the club for free.

There is a separate entrance for guest list east of the regular entrance. The guest list gets you in for free if you are one of the first 300 people, else the ticket price is discounted.

Pros:
-Re-entry stamps
-$5 Vodka Rockstars

Cons:
-Closes at 2am unless a special event
-Hip-hop room brings 'thug' types
-No outdoor smoking area (have to go outside)

Have a great time at On Broadway

On Broadway is a legend in San Diego. It was the first of its kind to hit the scene in 2000 completely revolutionizing the San Diego nightlife experience. 9 years later and the club is still going strong booking world class talent such as Benny Benassi, Fedde le Grand, Erick Morillo, The Dream, and many many more. There are 5 different rooms of music to choose from and plenty of ways to have a good time without breaking the bank. If you want to avoid the cover then visit www.clublistnow.com where you can choose which event to get on the free or discount guest list.

Nightclub you gotta check out at least once

A fist-pumping, techno loving crowd awaits you at On Broadway. All of the famous DJ’s who come to San Diego usually spin here, and I gotta say – although it’s not totally my scene, I always have a blast here. The music is a blend of house, hip-hop, and electronica with a main floor and a few smaller rooms hidden throughout. The whole club has a great, high energy vibe that will leave you wanting an after party just to unwind.
