Sona chef/owner David Myers has hit another home run with this casually upscale Melrose brasserie. The smart black-and-white main dining room is usually jammed with industry types and bon vivants that raise evening chatter to a shout-across-the-table din. Meanwhile, those who didn't bother making reservations mob the raw bar. The classic French fare suits the demanding professionals that it draws. Standbys like escargot persillade--Burgundy snails in a satiny paste of butter, garlic and parsley--are part of the menu's starters. The high-minded theme continues with roasted beef marrow accompanied by savory oxtail jam, while things come down to earth with items like bouillabaisse. Daily specials should not be missed, and the cheese bar is a worthwhile indulgence.

Know Before You Go

Diners should be sure to confirm reservations--unreturned confirmation calls will result in a cancellation.

The Extras

Patrons without reservations may be lucky enough to grab a seat at the bustling raw bar, which offers the full menu.

What to Drink

The impressive cocktail program offers a great list designed by professional mixologists from New York's famed speakeasy Milk and Honey. Nostalgic concoctions feature classics like the Rumble, a mix of rum, lemon and blackberries. There's also 20 by-the-glass selections, with an emphasis on Rhone blends. Corkage is $25.

Chic if Loud French

We came on opening weekend and the food/service was so flawless we didn't even know it. I am not typically a fan of French as I find it heavy, but the whole roasted fish special was simply amazing.

on another occasion, husband thoroughly enjoyed the coq au vin, although I found the salads to be a bit overdressed.

The drinks are awesome and if you tell your server your general preferences (i.e vodka, not sweet, etc.) they will custom create a drink for you. Love.

Good bet for mid city.

The strength of Comme Ca is the overall package. It has a solid, clean aesthetic and feels more happening than lucques up the street, which used to be our go to spot in the area. A nice and sunny environment that is at it's best for lunch.

Parisian delight!

Comme Ca is pretty darn good! They had a few operational issues when they opened up about a year and a half ago, but now smooth sailing! This place is always packed bc the food and original drinks are amazing! You have to try the Pain Perdu (french toast) and Rumble (mashed blackberries over crushed ice cocktail)! YUM! Walk a few blocks south to Boule for french macaroons!

Tres bien

As soon as you walk into Comme Ca, you are transported to Paris. The tables are close together, the noise level is high, and the people are beautiful and well dressed. Warning though: it really does get VERY loud, so this is not the place to go for an intense conversation.

The food is very, very good. The moules frites are some of the best I've ever had. The beet salad is very good. Unfortunately, I've yet to have an entree that I love so I usually just stick to two apps. Try the rumble as a cocktail- blackberries, rum, lemon juice, sugar, and tons of crushed ice- kind of like an adult snowcone.

On the down side, the desserts are all bad, which is surprising since they are owned by the same people as Boule (macarons and salted caramel fame). The lavender creme brulee is truly atrocious.

Comme Ca!

Although the listing says "Comme California" the restaurant's name is Comme Ca! Awesome French food, amazing cocktails and a cool chic interior... Went there last night and had the beet salad with goat cheese to start and the seared scallops with celery root pure for the main course - delicious! My friend had the moules frites and it was amazing!
