RA Sushi blends fresh sushi, hip music and contemporary d?cor all rolled up into one flavorful experience.
There's never a dull moment at RA Sushi Bar Restaurant. The music is pumping, the mood is upbeat and the atmosphere is as stimulating as a big bite of wasabi. RA is the perfect place to cut loose with friends, toss back a few and enjoy the best sushi that the ocean has to offer. They also have a full menu of Pacific-Rim dishes to satisfy any taste. So no matter how you slice it, it's always more fun in the RA.
In Short
Washed in red by overhead lamps and stained woods, the sleek décor bears a hip Asian feel. Expect an Asian fusion menu and artful sushi, including specialty rolls like the Tootsy Maki, Lone Star Roll and lotus-root-topped Viva Las Vegas. Enjoy a specialty cocktail or happy hour in the lounge.
What to Drink

Try a Tsunami Punch, served with Southern Comfort, amaretto, vodka, cold sake, grenadine and fresh juice. It's served in a 60-ounce fishbowl and is plenty for two.

Sushi divine

My friend and I love this place. The ambiance is beautiful and the staff is nice and very attentive to your needs. The music can get a little loud at times which can be annoying when you are trying to have a conversation but it is pretty rare for that to happen.

The food is heavenly. I suggest the rockstar rolls for they are some of the most complexly flavored sushi I have ever had. The other types of sushi like the California roll are also fantastic.

If you have money to spare and you want good sushi have a good time and feel full with Ra.

Great Weeknight Evening Out

The atmosphere feels like a chain restaurant (despite the mood lighting and clear attempt at a hipster vibe), but the service is great and the happy hour specials can’t be beat. For the price of one drink at comparable restaurants, we were able to drink three $3 mango martinis – which were fabulous! The half-price happy hour specials include specialty rolls, sushi and appetizers. The sushi was really fresh, the rolls were huge and we loved everything we tried.
I’d absolutely recommend it for a weeknight dinner & cocktails outing!

The best of all the Chicagoland RA's

I've eaten at all of the RA's around Chicago and for whatever reason; the food just tastes better to me here. The Las Vegas roll is the best. There's a hot ambiance with red lighting and a sexier looking decor. I love the floor to ceiling windows that look out onto Division. You can easily have a nice sit-down dinner in the dining room or grab a seat and a sake bomb at the bar. Prices are slightly higher than other neighborhood sushi bars, but it's consistently good and has a higher end feel to it.
