It's hard to miss this place, with its flashy, shimmering sequin sign on a gritty corner of Uptown. Inside, it's a retro shrine to Sinatra-era swankiness--all formica tables, glittery vinyl banquettes and early '60s movie posters. A cool, low-maintenance mix of neighborhood hipsters congregates most nights. The basic bar food menu is extensive but typical: nachos, thin-crust pizza, sandwiches and fries drenched in processed cheese. A pool table and Golden Tee machine keep the players busy, while a jukebox, photo booth and Rat Pack-era flicks on the TVs offer further diversions.
Save Money

Every night features different food specials from 6pm to 10pm (dine-in only); each night sees drink specials, too.

The Extras

Though the kitchen is open fairly late every night (until an hour before close), Sunday is the only day that features early service--brunch is available from 10am to 4pm.

Gracious with their private room

I'm Hosting a Tasteraiser on Sunday October 25,2009 at 7pm in the private room. I really love this room and hope to do more of my tasteraisers to make more people aware of my services.-MZZ Lula

For Merry Times check out the Holiday Club

My friends often rent out the back room of the Holiday Club for private parties, and let me tell you, they always turn into dance parties. In fact, the Holiday Club is a great place whether you’re in the back room dancing, or out front playing pool, Golden Tee, or eating something from the tasty comfort food menu (I respect any bar that serves comfort food- there’s nothing I want to eat more when I’m drinking.) There’s also a jukebox and even a photo booth.
What could be better? Check it out for a rockin’ good time!

Great time at a Rockabilly joint.

Voted to have some of the best wings in the city Holiday doesn't disappoint. It is a local dive looking bar with a sign that glitters in the sun that seems pretty unassuming. The drinks are decently priced and the people seem to enjoy working there.

What really makes Holiday fun though is their music nights. I don't know of many swing clubs left in Chicago and the fact that this place has a rockabilly night makes it that much better. So strap on your dancing shoes and get out your zoot suits and go have a good time at Holiday.

They swing away even when asked to take a pitch.

It was leap and a half to take the plunge and give the Uptown Holiday Club a go. The Milwaukee Avenue location was a regular drinking hole in the mid to late 90's and I still miss it. I haven't sampled the menu a whole bunch, but the pizza is pretty phenomenal for not being exclusively a pizza focused establishment. Mix and match the toppings for some serious adventure. The server commented on the palatable aroma of my pesto, artichoke, and goat cheese pizza. And was as impressed after I offered her a slice. Fun times as usual at the Holiday Club. In the meantime, there always seems to be some kind of extraordinary event in the side room, open mics and/or wild karaoke performers.
